Quick take

A smooth all-around spinning reel with 2 ball bearings and aluminum spool, built for general fishing situations.

The Shimano Catana FC in size 4000 is a red spinning reel aimed at general-purpose fishing. It pairs an aluminum spool with a zinc die-cast bail and two shielded stainless steel ball bearings plus a roller bearing, in a body weighing about 12 ounces. A 5.2:1 gear ratio and a spare spool make it a simple match for anglers who want one reel for a range of everyday situations.
