Quick take
Compact low-profile baitcaster with lightweight MGL spool and cross carbon drag, designed for finesse presentations and longer casts.
The Curado MGL 150 is a compact left-hand baitcasting reel in the 150 size, built around a light MagnumLite spool that gets lighter lures moving with less effort. It pairs a rigid HAGANE body with a Cross Carbon drag and smooth MicroModule gearing, which suits pitching and flipping around cover. A good fit for anglers who want a small low-profile reel for finesse baits on lighter line.
Best for
- Flipping and pitching light lures in tight cover around trees and vegetation
- Casting balsa crankbaits and finesse plastics on light line
- Anglers who value smoothness and casting distance in a compact reel
Skip if
- You fish heavy line and large lures requiring maximum power
- You need higher line capacity for saltwater or offshore fishing
Strengths
- Lightweight MGL spool requires less startup energy, increasing cast distance
- MicroModule gearing provides smooth retrieves on every turn
- Compact size is comfortable for long fishing days without fatigue
Trade-offs
- The lightweight spool is more susceptible to backlashes with lighter line and lures
- 12/140 line capacity limits use of heavy line for power fishing
- The compact frame has less drag power than larger baitcasters
