Quick take
The Shimano Metanium DC is a low-profile baitcasting reel built around digital braking, where a microcomputer adjusts spool control as you cast to help keep backlash down. This 7.4:1 left-hand model in the 100 size has a magnesium Hagane body at about 190 grams, roughly 31 inches of line per crank and up to 11 pounds of drag. It suits bass and walleye anglers who throw a range of lure weights and want a light, precise reel for finesse and power presentations.
