Quick take
The Sedona 500 is a compact, light spinning reel from Shimano, built around a 5.6:1 gear ratio that picks up about 27 inches of line per handle turn. At roughly 180 grams with four stainless steel bearings and a 3 kg maximum drag, it suits light line and small lures. It makes sense for newer anglers and anyone rigging a simple panfish or trout outfit.
