Quick take
The Shimano Sienna 500 is a compact front-drag spinning reel with a 5.6:1 gear ratio that picks up about 27 inches of line per turn. Its Propulsion spool lip is shaped to add casting distance and keep wind knots down, and Super Stopper II gives anti-reverse with no backplay. At around 6.3 ounces it suits light freshwater and inshore spinning setups.
