Quick take
Shimano's mid-range spinning reel with advanced gear durability and smooth winding performance.
This 4000MHG-size Shimano Stradic spinning reel pairs a 5.7:1 gear ratio with an aluminum body and a stainless steel reel. It gathers about 3.6 inches of line per handle turn and weighs roughly 10.8 oz, so it suits medium-weight spinning setups for bass, walleye and inshore work. Anti-twist fins and a six-bearing layout aim at smooth casting and retrieves.
