Quick take
Assorted baitholder hooks with long shanks and two shank barbs that secure worms and cut bait without sliding.
This 120-piece pack is a 2/0 baitholder with a long shank and two barbs along the back to keep worms, prawns and strip baits in place. The beaked point turns back toward the shank, so it sets cleanly in a fish's mouth, and the black finish suits saltwater and freshwater rigs alike. A pack this size keeps bait-holding hooks ready for a range of bait fishing trips.
Best for
- Worm and nightcrawler fishing in streams and ponds
- Salt-bait fishing with strips and small fish
- Variety fishing when you do not know what size you will need
Skip if
- You only use one hook size
- You practice catch-and-release fishing
Strengths
- Long shank accommodates larger baits like prawns and strip baits
- Two barbs on shank lock soft bait in place during the cast
- Beaked point with offset design penetrates well on the take
Trade-offs
- Black finish rusts in saltwater if not rinsed after use
- Shank barbs make the hook difficult to remove from deeply hooked fish
- Long shank and barbs can damage delicate baits on aggressive casts
