Quick take
Elastic nylon thread for wrapping soft baits onto hooks; secures shrimp and cut bait without tying knots.
This is a clear, stretchy nylon bait thread in 0.2 mm diameter, with 656 feet on each spool. It grips itself when wrapped, so soft baits like shrimp can be held on a hook without tying knots. Each spool comes in its own reusable plastic case, which keeps it compact for a tackle bag or pocket.
Best for
- Wrapping live shrimp on salt-water hooks
- Securing cut bait on rig hooks when casting distance matters
- Anglers who fish soft baits that slip during retrieves
Skip if
- You prefer traditional knots for bait attachment
- You fish artificial lures that do not need bait wraps
Strengths
- Self-adhesive elastic grips bait firmly through the cast
- Invisible when wet, preserving natural bait appearance
- No knots required; twist and tighten for quick rigging
Trade-offs
- Requires learning technique; threads may slip when first applied
- Most useful for soft baits; less effective on hard bait
- Thin diameter makes it fragile if snagged hard
Fishing fit
- Water
- Saltwater
- Techniques
- Live bait
