Quick take
A 4 inch stainless steel rod holder stem made in the USA, rated for large fish up to 125 lb.
This is a black deck-mount rod holder with a 4 inch stainless steel stem, coated in plastisol and made in the USA. The stem threads into any base with a 1/2 inch #13 thread, including Smackdown's own rod holder base, which is sold separately. It suits boat owners who want a simple, short-stem holder for rods that may see large fish.
Best for
- Boat gunwales and rails with 1/2 in #13 threads
- Saltwater fishing where corrosion resistance matters
- Trolling and rod holder applications for heavy tackle
Skip if
- Your boat uses a different thread size or mount type for rod holders
- You need a portable or shore-based rod holder
Strengths
- Thick stainless steel construction resists corrosion in saltwater and harsh conditions
- USA-made with high-strength 7/16 in American steel core ensures durability
- Heavy duty design holds large fish and withstands repeated abuse
Trade-offs
- Stem length of 4 in is fixed; longer 6 or 8 in stems require purchasing different model
- Thick stainless construction adds weight compared to aluminum alternatives
- Requires compatible base with 1/2 in #13 thread; not universal across all boat manufacturers
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
