A digital tournament scale with auto-ranking memory, floating gripper, and weight display in multiple units.
Best for
- Tournament fishing where you need to track and rank fish
- Weighing fish that must be released with minimal damage
- Fishing in dim conditions where an LCD backlight helps
Skip if
- You want a simple no-frills scale for casual fishing
- You need manual control over how fish are ranked
Strengths
- Auto-ranking keeps your biggest eight fish ranked 1-8 automatically
- Floating 4.6 in gripper handles fish humanely without puncturing
- LCD display shows weight in lbs, oz/lb, and kg for flexibility
Trade-offs
- Electronic scales require batteries and can fail when wet
- Eight-fish memory is limiting if you are weighing more than eight
- Gripper design adds bulk and complexity compared to a simple hook
