Quick take
Thigh-high PVC waders with cleated boot sole for wet banks and shallow stream access, reinforced for durability.
These thigh-length bootfoot waders have built-in boots with a deep-tread cleated sole for footing on wet banks and rocks. The PVC outer is bonded to a woven nylon lining, and welded seams sit nearly flush to cut down on rubbing. Adjustable belt straps with elastic sections keep them in place, which suits bank fishing, shallow ponds and launching a boat.
Best for
- Bank fishing in shallow streams and ponds
- Short water access where chest waders are overkill
- Outdoor work in wet conditions around water
Skip if
- You wade deep; thigh waders only go mid-torso
- You need lightweight and packable waders for backpacking
Strengths
- Cleated sole grips wet banks and rocks securely
- Sonic-welded seams with tape resist chafing and leaks
- Flexible PVC remains workable in cold water
Trade-offs
- PVC is heavy and bulky compared to neoprene or breathable
- Thigh height limits depth for typical stream fishing
- Cleated soles wear down over time on rocks
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
