Quick take
This 7-foot casting rod in red has a medium-power carbon fiber blank with a sensitive tip, aimed at inshore fishing for redfish and trout. It breaks into two pieces for easier travel and storage, and suits line in the 10 to 20 pound range. A good fit for anglers who want one all-around inshore stick for light to medium lures.
Best for
- Redfish and speckled trout in inshore flats and bays
- Anglers who travel and need rod that fits in a vehicle
- Saltwater spinning or light casting scenarios
Skip if
- You fish offshore deep water
- You need extreme power for large tarpon
Strengths
- IM7 carbon is responsive and casts light lures well
- 2-piece design packs easily for boat or truck travel
Trade-offs
