Quick take
A pack of 20 iron bells with adjustable V-groove clamps that clip on spinning or casting rod tips to alert you to bites.
This set of 20 copper-colored iron bells clamps onto a rod tip with an adjustable V-groove spring clip. It fits both spinning and casting rods, so one pack can cover several rods at once. The ring of the bell gives an audible signal when a fish pulls the line, which suits bank fishing, catfishing and night sessions.
Best for
- Setting multiple rods and waiting for bites at night or when not actively fishing
- Bank and pier fishing with bottom rigs or live bait
Skip if
- You actively fish and watch the rod tip
- You need bells rated for heavy saltwater use
Strengths
- Iron construction with robust weight maintains line tension and prevents loosening
- Adjustable clamp fits most rod tips comfortably
- Pack of 20 allows setup of multiple rods
Trade-offs
- Iron rusts if not rinsed after saltwater use
- Spring clamp may loosen on thicker rod tips with rough handling
- Bell volume is mechanical; wind and water noise can mask it at a distance
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
- Techniques
