Quick take
Lightweight portable crimper pliers that squeeze single-barrel sleeves and cut all line types, with anti-rust coating and ergonomic handles.
This compact 5.5-inch crimper pairs two crimp holes for 0.8mm to 1.2mm aluminum sleeves with a built-in cutter for braided, nylon and carbon line. It has a pearl nickel finish, two-tone TPE handles and a lanyard loop, so it clips to a vest or pack. A good fit for anglers building leaders and rigs who want one small tool for both crimping and snipping.
Best for
- Creating light-line leaders with crimped sleeves
- Anglers who fish micro finesse rigs
- Cutting line without a knife when hands are full
Skip if
- You prefer knots over crimped connections
- You fish standard-size leaders and heavy line
Strengths
- Portable size fits in a shirt pocket or tackle bag
- Two crimp holes cover the most common micro sleeve sizes
- Pearl nickel coating resists rust in saltwater
- Dual-function design eliminates need for separate cutters
Trade-offs
- Limited crimp hole sizes mean you need compatible sleeves on hand
- Light weight and material are best for micro applications, not heavy line
- Crimped sleeves are weaker than knots if not perfectly formed
