Quick take
Scented tube lure with coffee-bean granules and oil, designed for dragging and jigging.
The Strike King Coffee Tube is a 3.5-inch soft plastic tube sold eight to a pack, with real coffee bean granules and coffee bean oil worked into the plastic for scent. Its hollow head pairs with an internal tube jighead, so anglers can drag, jig or fish structure with the hook exposed. The green pumpkin and purple color gives bass anglers a dark, earthy option for the tackle box.
Best for
- Dragging on the bottom in deeper lakes and reservoirs
- Jigging around structure on internal jig heads
- Cold-water fishing when bass are sluggish
Skip if
- You prefer unscented plastics for versatility
- You fish in shallow water where tube profiles are less effective
Strengths
- Coffee scent triggers strikes in clear water and winter
- Hollow head allows internal rigging with exposed jig hook
- Salt impregnation makes bass hold on longer
Trade-offs
- Scent attracts catfish, which tangle lines during big-bass sessions
- Hollow design is fragile and tears easily around the head
- Green Pumpkin with Purple reduces visibility compared to solid colors

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
