Quick take
A 4.25-inch drop shot bait with a hinged tail and coffee scent, designed to quiver when suspended.
The Dream Shot in Green Pumpkin Purple and Gold is a 4.25-inch soft bait with a triangle-shaped hinged tail that quivers with small movements. Ten come in each pack, which gives drop shot anglers a set to work with for bass.
Best for
- Drop shotting small crappies and panfish
- Deep water presentations where the lure hangs still
- Winter finesse fishing in cold water
Skip if
- You prefer single-piece soft plastics without hinges
- You fish in weedy shallows
Strengths
- Hinged tail quivers on minimal rod movement and when the weight bounces bottom
- Coffee scent appeals to finicky crappies and panfish
- Salt impregnation helps fish hold the bait slightly longer
Trade-offs
- Hinge design can break or tear with repeated casting or aggressive bites
- 4.25 inches limits its use to smaller target species

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
