Quick take
Pack of eight 5-inch soft shad jerkbaits with air-filled tails and coffee scent for bass.
This 5-inch Pearl Flash soft jerkbait comes in a pack of 8 and is built around an air-filled bubble tail. The plastic is salt-loaded and scented with coffee, and it suits bass anglers who like to vary their presentation. Rig it weightless for surface work, on a Carolina rig, or on a jighead to reach deeper water.
Best for
- Bass hunting smaller baitfish
- Weighted or unweighted rigging for variable depths
- Carolina rigs for deeper presentations
Skip if
- You prefer hardbaits with built-in rattles
- You fish clear water where scent makes little difference
Strengths
- Air-filled bubble tail adds unique movement and sound
- Heavy salt content and coffee scent encourage longer holds
- Soft plastic allows topwater or jig head rigging options
Trade-offs
- 8-pack is generous but soft plastic tears with sharp strikes
- Coffee scent may not help in murky water
- Artificial scents wash out over time

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
