Quick take

Ultra-light crappie jig heads with number 2 black nickel hooks and bright eyes designed by crappie fishing authority Wally Marshall.

Best for

  • Precise crappie jigging in open water and spawning beds
  • Pairing with thin soft plastic crappie lures
  • Anglers targeting crappie exclusively

Skip if

  • You fish multiple species; use more versatile jigheads
  • You fish deeper water where heavier jigs are needed

Strengths

  • Number 2 hook is optimized for small crappie baits
  • Bright eye attracts crappie attention in clear water
  • 1/32 oz is light enough for ultralight spinning presentations

Trade-offs

  • Extremely light weight difficult to cast on heavier rods
  • Hook size limits use to small soft plastics
  • Black nickel finish rusts if stored wet
