Quick take
A thin, sensitive 20 lb braid that casts far and gives direct feel to the lure.
Sufix 832 in 20 lb is an eight-fiber braid that weaves seven Dyneema strands with one GORE Performance Fiber at 32 picks per inch. The Ghost color is a low-visibility shade, and the 300-yard spool gives plenty of line to fill a medium reel. It suits anglers who want a thin, sensitive casting braid for bass, walleye and general freshwater work.
Best for
- Spinning reels where small diameter means more line capacity
- Detecting bites and bottom texture in clear water
- Any technique where distance and sensitivity matter
Skip if
- You fish heavy cover; braid cuts through line easily
- You prefer monofilament for shock absorption
Strengths
- Dyneema fibers provide high strength in small diameter
- Gore Performance Fiber improves abrasion and casting distance
- Ghost color stays neutral in clear water while remaining visible
Trade-offs
- Braid has no stretch; hard hooksets can break line or snap rods
- Line twist is common; always use a quality ball bearing swivel
