Quick take
An ultra-light fluorocarbon filler spool for backing heavier leader to reach depths quickly.
Sufix Advance Fluorocarbon is a clear 6 lb line on a 200-yard spool, made for anglers who want a light, low-visibility option. The clear color suits clear water and finesse presentations where a bright line is less wanted. Pick it for light lures and jigs worked near the bottom.
Best for
- Fly fishers using sinking leaders and fly lines
- Anglers who need thin backing that will not slip
- Trout fishing where leader invisibility is critical
Skip if
- You use floating fly lines exclusively
- You prefer monofilament for backing
Strengths
- Higher density gets presentations to the strike zone quickly
- Memory-free design casts cleanly without coiling
- Virtually invisible fluorocarbon works as a leader
Trade-offs
- 6 lb test is light and not suitable for heavy lures or large fish
- Must be loaded under heavier backing to prevent spool slippage
