Quick take

A 14 lb monofilament line with low memory and excellent knot strength, in bright yellow for visibility.

Sufix Elite in Hi Vis Yellow is a resin monofilament rated at 14 lb, wound on a 330-yard spool that suits bass, walleye and other freshwater anglers. Its diameter on that spool runs about 0.38 mm, a useful figure when matching it to a reel's line capacity. The bright color makes it easier to track line during a cast or a drift.

Best for

  • All-around freshwater and saltwater fishing
  • Anglers who value easy casting and low memory
  • Sight fishing with high-visibility line

Skip if

  • You need line thinner than 14 lb for finesse fishing
  • You are fishing clear water where visibility line spooks fish

Strengths

  • J7 Micro Resin formula balances strength and handling
  • G2 Precision Winding virtually eliminates line memory
  • Hi Vis Yellow allows better lure tracking

Trade-offs

  • Yellow color visible to fish in clear water
  • Monofilament has more stretch than braided or fluorocarbon
  • 14 lb breaking strength may be heavy for panfish
