Quick take
Compact football jigs in multiple colors with heavy weed guards, sized for flipping and pitching into bass cover.
This is a set of 8 football-head jigs in assorted colors, built for bass. Each has a metal head, a silicone skirt and a weed guard, so it can be worked through brush and grass. The football head lets the jig sit upright on the bottom, and the kit comes in a plastic box.
Best for
- Heavy cover fishing where snagging is unavoidable
- Flipping jigs along weed lines and rock piles
- Anglers learning to throw accurate short casts
Skip if
- You fish open water where bottom contact is light
- You need ultra-subtle presentations on light line
Strengths
- Football head stands upright on bottom, signaling strikes
- Hand-tied silicone skirt moves naturally through the water
- Heavy weed guard prevents weeds on most casts
- Eight-color pack covers most seasonal and water clarity needs
Trade-offs

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
