Quick take
Wacky rig hooks with a wire weed guard that folds away on the bite for rigging soft plastics in cover.
The Sumind weedless wacky rig hook in a 2/0 size comes in a pack of 50 carbon steel hooks with a spear point. Each one has a wire weed guard that keeps the bait moving past grass, rocks and wood, and the guard presses in when a fish takes the bait. It suits anglers rigging soft plastic worms for bass, trout or crappie who want spare hooks on hand.
Best for
- Fishing soft plastic worms through grass and wood
- Finesse bass fishing in heavy cover
- Anglers who frequently re-rig plastics
Skip if
- You prefer snag-free single-hook presentations only
- You fish open water where weed guards are not needed
Strengths
- Wire weed guard folds on the hook when fish bites
- Carbon steel is strong enough for 3-5 lb line
- 50-pack provides plenty of spares
Trade-offs
- Wire guard can break if forced through thick weeds
- Sharp point can bend if worm is rigged too tightly
- Carbon steel rusts; requires freshwater rinse after saltwater use
