Quick take

Red canvas gloves with Velcro closure, designed to protect hands and vehicle interiors from fishing lure hooks.

This three-pack of 6-inch canvas wraps covers the hooks of a rigged lure and fastens to the rod with a hook-and-loop strap. The rubber-backed canvas keeps treble hooks away from your hands, rod locker and boat seats. It suits bass, walleye, trout and perch anglers who carry rods with baits already tied on.

Best for

  • Organizing and storing tackle with exposed treble hooks
  • Protecting vehicle seats and truck beds
  • Handling rigged baits with multiple hook systems

Skip if

  • You use a tackle box for all lure storage
  • You fish alone without vehicle storage concerns

Strengths

  • Durable canvas and rubber backing withstands repeated use
  • Velcro closure is quick and easy to apply
  • Sold in convenient three-pack

Trade-offs

  • Protects vehicle more than angler hands
  • Canvas may absorb fish smell over time
  • Covers relatively small area on hand or furniture
