Quick take
Assorted balsa wood bobbers with high-visibility fluorescent tops for float fishing with live bait.
This is a five-float assortment of spring-style bobbers from Thill, built on balsa bodies with stained lower halves and fluorescent orange and red tops. The bright tops make a bite easy to spot as the float dips, which suits panfish and bass anglers working live bait or small jigs. The spring fitting lets you clip on and move depth quickly.
Best for
- Float fishing panfish, perch, and sunfish
- Crappie under docks in spring
- Live bait presentations at depth
Skip if
- You fish dark water where visibility is limited
- You need slip bobbers for deeper presentations
Strengths
- Balsa buoyancy rides lightly, producing sensitive bobs
- Fluorescent tops remain visible at distance and dusk
- Spring style allows easy attachment without threading
Trade-offs
- Balsa absorbs water over time, eventually logging
- Not slip bobbers; depth is fixed by tie-on position
- Single assortment size may not match your preferred depths
