Quick take
Weighted slip float that rides lower on its shortened shaft for balanced presentations at any depth.
This Thill weighted oval float pairs a buoyant balsa body with a bright orange finish that is easy to spot on the water. It rides as a slip float, so with a float stop it slides on the line to reach deeper fish, and soft latex tubing holds it on the line. Anglers fishing jigs under a float can match the float size to the jig weight.
Best for
- Panfish in weedy areas
- Float fishing deeper structure
- Balancing light jigs and small baits
Skip if
- You fish only shallow cover
- You prefer fixed floats
Strengths
- Weighted design balances with small jigs and baits
- Slip design lets you fish any depth by adjusting stop knots
- Balsa body is forgiving if struck during casting
Trade-offs

- Shorter shaft reduces visibility from distance
