Quick take
A 5-piece saltwater spoon set with reflective metal finish and treble hooks for jigging tuna, salmon and grouper.
This is a set of five oval metal casting and trolling spoons, each rigged with a treble hook and split ring, and it comes in a plastic tackle box. The 3.5 g size is light enough for finesse casting to trout, bass and catfish, and its flash and wobbling swim suit slow to moderate retrieves. Anglers who want a few colors to swap through the day will find it a handy box to keep in the tackle bag.
Best for
- Saltwater jigging from boat or structure
- Offshore presentations for pelagic species
- Changing spoon colors to match light and water conditions
Skip if
- You fish freshwater; saltwater jigging setups are overkill
- You prefer single-hook designs to reduce snagging
Strengths
- Highly reflective metal finish attracts aggressive offshore species
- Streamlined oval design wobbles and wiggles on jigging retrieve
- 5 colors let you match different water clarity and light conditions
Trade-offs
- Treble hooks foul easily in seaweed or structure
- 3.5 g weight limits depth in fast current without heavy tackle
- Small spoons are better for schooling baitfish than large reef fish

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
