Quick take
Sixteen colors of flat elastic floss for tying worm patterns, streamers, nymph bodies, and buzzer-style flies with natural movement.
This Tigofly set holds 16 packs of flat, stretchy floss, one for each of 16 colors. The D-shaped strand runs about 0.5mm across and roughly 4m per pack, which suits tying worm flies, streamer legs, nymph bodies and buzzer patterns. It is a handy color assortment for fly tyers who want to build a range of soft, flexible bodies.
Best for
- Tying realistic worm and grub imitations
- Creating elastic-bodied streamer patterns
- Building fly patterns that need flex and movement
Skip if
- You prefer traditional thread materials
- You tie tiny flies requiring thin materials
Strengths
- Flat profile creates wider body coverage than round thread
- Elastic material mimics live organism movement when wet
- Sixteen colors provide variety for different fly styles
Trade-offs
