Quick take

An ultra-light, 25.6 in carbon telescoping rod that collapses to 10.5 in, designed for portable ice and travel fishing where space is limited.

A pocket-sized telescopic ice rod with a carbon blank, a cork grip and an ultra-light power. It collapses to roughly ten inches, so it rides easily in a pack, a car or a boat hatch. Anglers who want a compact rod for panfish, trout or travel trips can mount their own reel and keep the line and lure attached when it is folded down.

Best for

Ice fishing through holes with minimal storage
Travel and kayak fishing where rod space is tight
Light trout and panfish in small streams

Skip if

You need a rod for casting distance in open water
You fish for larger species requiring medium or heavy power

Strengths

Collapses to under 10.5 in for easy transport and storage
Ultra-light power suits finesse fishing for small species
Cork handle provides comfort and durability

Trade-offs

Telescoping design may not transmit sensitivity as well as a 2-piece rod
