Quick take
Electronic bite alarms with sound and bright LED light that detect small bites while ignoring wind and current for use on multiple rods.
This is a set of four clip-on electronic bite alarms that signal a bite with both a loud sound and a bright LED. A non-slip sleeve helps the clip hold the rod without scratching it, and the line wraps around the unit to trigger it. Ten spare LR44 batteries come in the box, which suits anglers running several rods or fishing after dark.
Best for
- Night fishing where visual alerts help you spot active rods
- Fishing multiple rods from the bank or boat
- Detecting light bites from small fish
Skip if
- You fish tight line where you feel bites directly
- You need alarms that work in extremely cold weather
Strengths
- Loud sound and bright LED make it easy to spot bites in darkness
- Clamp design fits most rod types without modification
Trade-offs
- False alarms can occur in strong current or high wind
- LED drains battery power faster than sound-only alarms
- Clamp design can scratch delicate rod finishes without a sleeve
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
