Quick take

A 50-pack of oval lead egg sinkers with a central split that lets you add or remove weight quickly during fishing.

This is a 50-piece pack of oval, egg-shaped lead sinkers, each about 0.4 by 0.2 inches and gray. The central notch lets you squeeze one onto the line and remove it again, so you can change weight as conditions shift. They suit bass, catfish, crappie and trout in fresh or salt water, and the small pieces ride easily in a tackle box.

Best for

Live-bait rigs for bass, catfish and trout
Bottom-fishing setups that need quick weight adjustment
Anglers who prefer reusable sinkers over split shot

Skip if

You use only fixed-weight rigs
Local regulations restrict lead use in your waters

Strengths

Oval shape reduces water resistance and falls quickly
Central split pinches on line securely without breaking it
50-pack provides backup and experimentation room

Trade-offs

Lead is toxic and requires careful handling
Pinch action may damage braided line if over-tightened
Oval shape can roll off your rig if not secured well

Fishing fit

Water: Freshwater
Saltwater
Techniques: Live bait
Bottom fishing
