Quick take
A sharp, wide-gap black nickel treble hook for lure construction, rigging, and replacement on fishing plugs and swimbaits.
This size 4 treble carries a small willow blade on a swivel, so the blade turns freely as the lure moves through the water. Its short shank and wide gap let an angler set it almost anywhere on a lure, which helps around cover and laydowns. The needle point sits on an inline eye, and the hook carries a 1X strength rating for bass fishing.
Best for
- Replacing hooks on damaged lures
- Building custom lures and swimbaits
- Anglers seeking reliable hook quality
Skip if
- You tie flies or use single hooks
- You fish with treble-free regulations
Strengths
- 1X strong forged construction resists bending
- Wide gap increases hook-up percentage
- High carbon steel stays sharp through strikes
Trade-offs
- Treble hooks tangle easily in storage
- Black nickel finish may rust in extreme conditions
- Trebles catch weeds more readily than single hooks
