Quick take
Ten 3/16 oz tungsten half-moon wacky weights with conical ribs for holding soft plastic baits without damage.
This VMC Half Moon Wacky Weight is a 3/16 oz tungsten weight that you push into the head or tail of a soft plastic worm or stick bait. Its conical ribs hold it in place without chewing up the plastic, which suits neko and wacky rigs. The natural finish comes in a pack of 10, so you can rig several baits ahead of a day on the water.
Best for
- Neko rig presentations with stick baits and finesse worms
- Wacky rigging where the weight must stay in place during cast and retrieve
- Light-cover fishing where controlled presentations matter
Skip if
- You fish fast-moving water where heavier weights are needed
- You prefer traditional split shot over dedicated weights
Strengths
- Tungsten material is denser than lead, allowing smaller size for same weight
- Conical ribs firmly anchor weight without damaging soft plastic baits
- 10-pack size provides multiple rigs without purchasing bulk
Trade-offs
- 3/16 oz is light; heavier presentations require separate weight purchases
- Design works only with stick baits and finesse plastics; not versatile for other applications
