Quick take

A pre-tied catfish rig with an EVA float, built-in rattler, and circle hooks sized for rivers and lakes.

This XFISHMAN float rig comes as a four-pack of green EVA floats at 3 inches, each paired with a circle hook and a rattler. It is built around the Santee Cooper style of fishing for catfish from the bank, so you connect it to your mainline, add bait and cast. The rattler adds sound to the presentation, and the circle hook suits anglers who prefer to let the fish take the bait before setting.

Best for

  • Bank and shore catfishing in rivers and lakes
  • Float rigs with live or cut bait for drifting
  • Anglers new to catfishing who want a ready-to-use setup

Skip if

  • You prefer to tie your own rigs
  • You target catfish on bottom without floats

Strengths

  • Circle hooks designed to catch and hold firmly
  • Built-in rattler emits sounds to attract catfish from distance
  • EVA float keeps bait at target depth without adjustment

Trade-offs

  • Rattler adds noise that may attract unwanted fish species
  • Fixed setup limits customization to different water conditions
  • One size float may not suit all water depths or drift speeds
