Quick take
Hand-tied crappie jigs combining marabou feather movement with an under-body spinner blade for dual attraction.
A 50-piece kit of feather crappie jigs, each head weighing 1/8 oz and paired with a small willow-leaf blade for extra flash. It suits light-tackle anglers working panfish and trout. The bulk count makes it easy to keep fresh jigs on hand through a season of finesse fishing.
Best for
- Crappie fishing in lakes and slow streams
- Panfish and small perch in deep water
- Vertical jigging beneath the boat or from shore
Skip if
- You want a simple, single-action jig; these are complex
- You fish water with heavy wood and snags often
Strengths
- Marabou tail creates lifelike movement on the drop
- Willow-leaf blade adds flash and vibration
- Multiple sizes and colors let you match hatch or try different presentations
Trade-offs
- Complex design means more feathers can snag on weeds
- Hand-tied construction means some variation between jigs
- Requires a finesse retrieve to show off both the feathers and the blade

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
