Quick take

7-inch soft plastic stick baits with subtle falling action, versatile for multiple rigging styles on bass.

This is the 7-inch Senko stick bait in green pumpkin with large black flake, sold as a five-piece set for bass. Green pumpkin is a natural, familiar shade that works across many waters. Rig it weightless, wacky, Texas or Carolina style for a slow, quivering fall.

Best for

  • Drop-shot fishing in deep water
  • Wacky rigging on lighter line
  • Fish with pressured bass

Skip if

  • You need heavy-duty baits for cover
  • You target panfish or catfish

Strengths

  • Longer 7-inch size reaches deeper water
  • Green pumpkin color matches natural forage
  • Works wacky-rigged, Texas-rigged, or on a jig
  • Subtle fall triggers strikes from cautious bass

Trade-offs

  • Larger size limits use on small hooks
  • Green pumpkin is less visible at night
  • Soft plastic tears after aggressive fish or snags

About this type

A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.

Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.

Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
