Quick take
Bulky creature bait with swimming wings and flowing skirt that works as a standalone lure or trailer on a jig.
This black with large blue flake Kreature comes seven to a pack, so each set covers a full run of one color on the water. Its swimming wings and tentacle skirt keep it moving on a Texas rig or a Carolina rig, and it works as a trailer or a stand-alone bait. Anglers reach for it when pitching or flipping into thick cover, since the compact body slips through vegetation and the slow fall keeps it in the strike zone.
Best for
- Bass fishing heavy structure and grass
- Texas rigs in thick cover
- Adding movement to jigs and Carolina rigs
Skip if
- You fish open water without cover
- You prefer compact finesse baits
Strengths
- Swimming wings paddle on every retrieve
- Free-flowing skirt adds action and bulk
- Works well on jigs as a trailer
Trade-offs
- Large profile difficult to cast far on light line
- Soft plastic wears quickly from hard strikes
- Bulky design makes it hang on vegetation

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
