Quick take
One-inch soft jig lures in pink for crappie and panfish on ultralight tackle.
The pink R1217-P is a 1-inch hard-bodied snap bean crankbait built for panfish and crappie. It weighs about 1/16 ounce and dives roughly 1.5 feet, which keeps it in the upper water column for shallow fish. Its pink finish suits anglers working small lures for bluegill and crappie in shallow cover.
Best for
- Vertical jigging under boat docks
- Panfish in ponds and small lakes
- Finesse presentations on light line
Skip if
- You need lures that cast long distances

Strengths
- Small size matches young-of-year forage in panfish forage
- Lead body provides sinking speed with minimal weight
- Pink color provides visibility in most water clarity

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
