Quick take
Lightweight minnow-profile jigs in 1/32 oz for panfish and small crappie under a float or on light jig heads.
This is a 12-pack of small crappie jigs, each about 1.5 inches long and 1/32 ounce, tied on a #8 hook. The minnow-style body and light weight suit panfish and crappie fishing on ultralight gear. The color is a 3-color mix, so one pack gives you several patterns to rotate through.
Best for
- Crappie and bluegill in shallow ponds
- Light tackle finesse fishing
- Jigging near brush and structure
Skip if
- You fish windy conditions; 1/32 oz is hard to cast into wind
- You fish deep; heavier jigs reach depth faster
Strengths
- Minnow profile mimics small baitfish that crappie eat naturally
- Multiple colors allow matching different water conditions and light levels
- 1/32 oz weight suits panfish tackle and light line
Trade-offs
- Very light jigs require practice to cast and detect bites
- Small size limits catching larger fish species
- 1/32 oz struggles in current or when trolling

- Freshwater

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
