Quick take
Buoyant soft stickbait with tentacle tail for wacky, neko, and drop-shot rigging.
This soft stickbait suits anglers who want a bait that looks alive with very little movement, since its buoyant tentacled tail rises off the bottom when it sits still. It rigs Neko-style, wacky-style, on a shaky head, Texas-rigged, on a Carolina rig or on a drop shot, which covers most of the finesse setups bass anglers reach for. It is a practical pick for anglers who want one bait that works across several rigs.
Best for
- Drop-shot fishing on hard-bottom lakes and reservoirs
- Neko rigging on shaky-head jigs for bite detection
- Wacky rigging for finesse bass when other baits fail
Skip if
- You fish heavy weeds; tentacles snag constantly
- You need heavier sinking baits for deep jigging
Strengths
- Buoyant material stands up off the bottom at rest
- Tentacle tail moves with minimal rod movement
- ElaZtech plastic is durable; no O-rings needed for wacky rigging
Trade-offs
- Light buoyancy makes drop-shot weight critical
- Tentacle design does not work with Texas rigs
- Versatility requires learning multiple rigging techniques

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
