Quick take
A 1/2 oz lead football jig with hand-tied silicone skirt and V-shaped weed guard for bottom structure fishing.
The Z-Man CrossEyeZ Football Jig in Ledge Craw is a half-ounce bass jig built on a football-shaped head with a molded v-shaped weedguard for working rock, gravel and ledges. It carries a 5/0 hook and a copper keeper that holds chunk-style trailers in place. Bass anglers who fish rocky bottoms will find it suited to that kind of bottom-hopping presentation.
Best for
- Dragging across rocky and gravel covered bottoms
- Ledge and main channel fishing

- You fish light line or open water
- You prefer compact profiles for finesse
Strengths
- Traditional football shape is proven for bottom contact
- V-shaped weed guard prevents snagging on gravel and rocks
- Hand-tied skirts by designer David Walker are quality construction

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
