Quick take
A 4-inch ElaZtech swimbait with a paddle tail and integrated weedless hook slot for grass and cover.
The DieZel MinnowZ in 4 inches is a paddle-tail soft swimbait in Electric Chicken for anglers who want a bait that rigs weedless. Its molded hook slot and split dorsal fin make weedless rigging simple, and each package holds five. Jigheads and weighted swimbait hooks from the same line give anglers several ways to fish it across cover.
Best for
- Saltwater and freshwater swimbait fishing around grass and weeds
- Tall grass beds where a weedless profile keeps you snagged-free
- Anglers who want the action of a baitfish in any condition
Skip if
- You fish open water; a standard swimbait hooks up faster
- You need treble-hook contact; weedless rigs miss more fish
Strengths
- 10X ElaZtech construction is nearly indestructible through grass
- Molded hook slot and dorsal fin pocket enable true weedless rigging
- Lifelike swimming action at all retrieve speeds
Trade-offs
- Weedless hook rigging sets fewer hookups than treble-hook jigs
- 4 inches is medium-sized; larger swimbaits work deeper
- ElaZtech material is softer and tangles with itself in the pack

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
