Quick take
Four-inch soft swimbait with ElaZtech durability, molded for weedless rigging and quick hooksets.
Z-MAN's 4-inch DieZel Minnow comes in a five-pack in the Pearl Blue Glimmer color. Its molded hook slot and dorsal fin hook pocket let you rig it weedless and set the hook easily. The paddle tail is active at slow retrieve speeds, which suits anglers who slow down their presentation.
Best for
- Weedless rigging in heavy grass
- Bass and redfish in clear water
- Anglers needing a durable soft plastic
Skip if
- You fish open water where harder baits cast farther
- You need a swimbait for trolling
Strengths
- ElaZtech material resists tearing through grass and hard strikes
- Molded hook slot and split fin allow rigging without eye hardware
- Realistic swimming action works at all retrieve speeds
Trade-offs
- Soft material tears eventually; not as reusable as hard swimbaits
- Molded hook slot limits hook size choices
- Four inches is mid-sized; not ideal for very large or small lures

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
