Quick take
Soft 4-inch swimbaits with a hook slot for weedless rigging, durable enough for grass and aggressive strikes.
The DieZel MinnowZ in Pearl is a 4-inch paddle-tail soft swimbait with a molded hook slot and a dorsal fin pocket for weedless rigging. It can run on a 4/0 swimbait jighead or on a weedless extra-wide-gap hook, so it suits open water and grassy cover alike. Anglers working freshwater or saltwater can use it for steady swimming retrieves.
Best for
- Casting in weedy cover where weedless rigging is needed
- Trolling for redfish, stripers and saltwater bass
- Anglers who want soft plastic durability without traditional rigging
Skip if
- You need a smaller profile or different color
- You fish clean open water where weedlessness is not needed
Strengths
- ElaZtech material is tougher than standard soft plastic
- Molded hook slot simplifies rigging and improves hookset
- Swims naturally at various retrieve speeds
Trade-offs
- Pearl color is less visible in murky water
- Soft plastic still gets damaged over time by teeth and rocks
- Weedless rigging trades some action for snag resistance

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
