Quick take

Pre-formed silicone skirts with detailed color schemes that slip over jigheads or lure bases for instant customization.

The Z-Man EZ Skirt is a silicone replacement skirt for ChatterBait-style bladed jigs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and jigs, so an angler can refresh a worn skirt or change a lure's look. This white pack holds three skirts at about 2.75 inches long, each one fitting snugly over the lure. Its strands pulse as the bait moves through the water.

Best for

  • Refreshing worn or faded spinnerbait skirts without replacing the entire lure
  • Testing different color combinations on established bladed jigs
  • Building matching skirt-and-body combinations for specific water conditions

Skip if

  • Your base jig has a fixed skirt you like
  • You prefer hand-tied skirts for custom patterns

Strengths

  • Compact hub design eliminates tangling during storage and retrieval
  • Silicone flares on the retrieve without bunching or collapsing
  • Color schemes match popular crankbait and swimbait patterns

Trade-offs

  • EZ-change design requires a compatible hub or shaft
  • Silicone can tear if caught on sharp edges during rigging
  • The pack contains only three skirts, limiting experimentation
