Quick take
Soft plastic grubs with a thin curly tail in durable ElaZtech plastic, sized for finesse fishing and as trailers on jigheads.
This 2.5 inch GrubZ is a soft plastic grub with a thin curled tail that keeps moving on the fall and at slow retrieves. Each pack holds eight baits, which makes it easy to rig on a light jighead or as a trailer on a jig or spinnerbait. Anglers working light jigheads for bream can fish it alone or pair it with a jig.
Best for
- Ultralight jighead presentations
- Panfish and smallmouth bass in clear water
- Finesse rigs and drop-shot setups
Skip if
- You fish heavy cover; lighter plastics snag easily
- You prefer realistic baitfish imitations
Strengths
- Curly tail produces erratic action at ultra-slow speeds
- Durable ElaZtech plastic lasts multiple fish per bait
- 2.5 in size is versatile as a jig trailer or standalone lure

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
