Quick take
A tournament-grade 1/3 oz mushroom jig head with a 2/0 hook, designed for finesse bass fishing with small soft plastics.
This is a Ned Rig jig head with a mushroom-shaped head and a welded wire keeper that holds ElaZtech soft plastics in place. The 2/0 medium-wire jig hook gives a finesse setup extra lifting power around cover and in current. At 1/3 ounce in black, it suits deeper water, and the pack of four covers several rigs.
Best for
- Ned rig finesse fishing for bass in clear water
- Tournament anglers and serious smallmouth specialists
- Fishing around cover and heavy current where light contact helps
Skip if
- You target large bass and need heavier weights
- You fish species other than bass
Strengths
- Mushroom head is preferred by Ned rig specialists for subtle action
- 2/0 hook provides lifting power in heavy current and cover
- Welded wire keeper secures ElaZtech baits without slipping
Trade-offs
- 1/3 oz is too light for distant casting or deep water
- Mushroom head makes the jig prone to snagging in rocks and wood
- Requires soft plastic finesse baits for optimal performance
