Quick take
A 2.75-inch soft plastic creature bait designed to mimic crawfish and aquatic forage on a ned rig.
The TRD BugZ is a 2.75-inch creature bait scaled down for the Ned rig, sold in packs of 6. Its buoyant soft plastic lifts the body off the bottom at rest, and the two sets of appendages quiver with slight movement. It rigs on Z-Man ShroomZ and NedlockZ jigheads, and also suits drop shot and shaky head setups for finesse anglers.
Best for
- Ned rig finesse fishing for smallmouth and largemouth bass
- Drop-shot and shake-head rigs in clear water
- Panfish on light line and small jigs
Skip if
- You prefer larger lures; this is downsized for finesse work
- You fish heavy weeds; small appendages snag easily
Strengths
- Salt-impregnated material makes fish hold on longer
- Buoyant design stands off the bottom on a ned rig
- Works on finesse shroomz, necklockz, and other micro jigheads
Trade-offs
- Small size demands light line and finesse presentation
- Requires special jigheads; not compatible with standard hooks
- Appendages may foul or tear on the retrieve

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
