Quick take
Lightweight spincast reel with quick gear ratio and 12-lb drag for beginner-friendly fishing.
This size 30 spincast reel pairs a magnesium body with a 5.1:1 gear ratio, nine bearings and an instant anti-reverse clutch. The retrieve can be switched between right and left hand, and it comes spooled with 10-pound monofilament, so it is ready to fish out of the box. A dial-adjustable drag tops out at 12 pounds, enough for walleye, bass and catfish. At about 14.7 ounces with an oversized handle knob, it suits beginners and anglers who want a push-button reel.
