Best for
- General freshwater fishing on spinning reels
- Saltwater bait fishing where strong line handles small fish
- Anglers who like visible line for easier casting diagnosis
Skip if
- You need the thinnest diameter for light lure presentations
- You fish clear water where blue tint is too obvious
Strengths
- Light blue tint blends better than clear line in natural light
- Smooth formulation comes off the spool without kinking
- 12 lb strength handles most freshwater gamefish with room to spare
Trade-offs
- Monofilament stretches more than braided, slowing hook sets
- Blue tint becomes obvious in very clear water under direct sun
- Typical mono absorbs UV and degrades within a season
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
